Ada County Paramedics has been serving Ada County, Idaho, since 1975. We provide advanced life support services around the clock to over 361,500 residents of Boise, Meridian, Garden City, Eagle, Star, Kuna, and rural Ada County. Our organization is considered "municipal, third service" by the emergency medical services (EMS) community, meaning we are not affiliated with a fire department and we are not a private business. In Idaho, county governments are deemed with the responsibility of providing emergency medical services to its residents. ACP is an emergency service dispatched by the county's 9-1-1 communications center, just like area law enforcement agencies.
